TSA - Things Ive Learned....

I was at the international airport the other day, sitting right in front of the clueless minions who were being questioned and searched. None of the people dared question why any of this was deemed necessary, but after I watched bags being searched and gloved TSA goons sniffing shoes, I wanted to throw up. Here is what I learned:

a) shoe bombs can apparently be hidden in flip-flops;
b) gloved searches can tickle;
c) the TSA can’t read their own monitors;
d) racial profiling is real;
e) guns were absent, but body armor was not, meaning if there was a armed terrorist, you were on your own;

I also learned that not one person complained. Anyone that doubts that people will accept a police states needs to look around — they already have.

I also learned that not one person complained. Anyone that doubts that people will accept a police states needs to look around — they already have.

So the feeling is that one person cannot make a change and there are too few if any that care enough about it to venture an effort. I am at home, I don't have TSA agents here or any other agents here to bother my day. That is the case with a lot of people. It is like an out of sight out of mind scenario stemming from an existential phylosophy or idiology. Or? it is that everybody is too busy trying to make ends meet and live their own lives that they are too busy to bother with it. IMO.

But I agree. All those observations you made are real, it is just that they don't affect the individual most of the time. When they do it is on an individual basis most of the time and so is not viewed as an (outragable offense?) But even then, what is one person going to do about it? Only with strength in numbers which is apparently hard to come by these days because of everybody's existential attitude, (You do your thing, I'll do mine, I'm too busy etc. etc.). Oh, I can write to my congressman. Whoopty doo!! Power vs no power. We the sheep vs. Wolves. One of the reasons I am such a loner, it is too big to fight. signed, Powerless.
