Xanatos, because it's just a nickname I have (amongst other nicknames by different people, but the most common being Xanatos).
Ranger, the short story is because one day after school, a man that claimed to be a green beret was high/drunk and was trying his best to talk me into join the Green Berets. I told him no, I was going to be a Ranger.
Plus, Xanatos is take by a lot of other sites, so instead of trying to make several and forgetting about them, RangerXanatos has always worked.

Years ago I was grooming for a Canadian Polo team, on Sundays. Now as some of you may know Canadians are not known for thier fondness for over paying, but they do love thier beer. One day I had a cooler full of beer in the back of my truck after the match I broke one out and everyone asked if I had more I quickly sold out at a buck a pop. The next week I had a bigger cooler and it just took off from there, after a few weeks everyone was comeing up and saying" your the beerunner ehh?" and I have had that name ever since.

Got the nickname Baby Buddha at work for always being calm and polite even when tossing someone out on their butt. I was reading the "Three Pillars of Zen" at the time. Always been more of a Taoist though.

I made mine up about 15 years ago when someone told me what a "grundle" was. Being a child I thought it was so funny I decided to make it my "internet" name. Since then it has stuck and pretty much follows me to every internet hideout I frequent :)

D00m is just my call sign spelled out said phonetically it is " Delta Zero Zero Mike"
Delta stands for my company
Zero Zero is the tail number of our helicopter
and Mike is my crew identifier for Medic.

Goldrydd is the name of one of my ancestors. He was a warlord in 9th century Wales, fighting against occupation by England. He led a successful resistance that won Wales an independence that lasted more than 200 years.
As far as I have been able to determine, the name (in Welsh Gaelic) means "victorious forest spirit", or something like that. I haven't had anyone claiming to be an expert in Gaelic take a stab at it, though.
I always tell people that I feel that I was born in the wrong century. This is just my personal irony, to use a name from a thousand years ago. :)

Gildrydd in Manx Gaelic (My native tongue) means 'Fighting Tree'. So you're prob smack dead on. I'll ask Welshy (lass from Army) when I next speak to her.
I dont speak Welsh Gaelic but understand a fair whack (Like Spanish is similar to French I suppose)

In the past I usually use "ppspankalot", but I've found that I'm not taken very seriously so I used a Cajun word for "hungry dog" which is "Tahyo"

Well the term Blood groove is written right on the side of the box my Ka-bar came in. It's that long wide groove on the upper portion of the ka-bar's blade. There's a ton of random stuff about the knife written around the box (It's supposed to look like blue prints or something) and there on the side it says blood groove.

I've read about that knife, and it look really good. I'd buy one, but it's a little too much for my small small budget. It looks like it could be thrown pretty easily. I love throwing knives:D

Yea, it is a spendy knife. Im not going to throw a knife that cost that much. Besides I can only think of one reason to throw a knife other than for fun. That is to give it to the bad guy so he can use it on you. Nearly all my fixed blade knives cost in excess of $150. But we are digressing from the topic.

i was a musician for about 30 yrs. one night one the way to a gig i got pulled over and arrested for a ticket my girlfriend (at the time) was supposed to have paid months ago. i called my band mates to bail me out and made it to the gig on time! we were all broke after paying the bail money and when the bartender heard the story of my visit to the county jail he put a big jar on the end of the bar with a sign that said, free county bob! we actually made more off that jar that night than we were paid for the job! ever since it just kind of stuck.........

Back when I was doing my pastoral internship the other people on staff had never met someone like me. I am a pastor, but I don't golf. On Monday's I would go shoot my AK.
The other staff were passing arond this book written about the middle ages. My last name is McIntyre (hence Mac). One day in staff meeting the senior pastor says "Mac! I have it all figured out... YOU'RE A PICT!" (Picts were ancient barbarians from Scotland)
That stuck as my official nicname there and I adopted it as my internet handle. I don't use it on Youtube as it was already taken. "Colhane" was my little brothers nicname when we were kids. Mac
For me its simple, its my real name :).
For once i have found somewhere where it was not already taken!

One of the oldest books ever written was Beowulf by an unknown author, I loved it, the story of a great warrior, when I got my first book published in 2004 I put this on my license plate and everyonr started calling me Beowulf and then just Beo for short.
Beowulf is from the Geats a North Germanic tribe inhabiting Gtaland ("land of the Geats") in modern Sweden. The name of the Geats also lives on in the Swedish counties of Vstergtland and stergtland, the Western and Eastern lands of the Geats. It means Bear Wolf both my two favorite animals.

After high school I and a friend of mine were working for his grandfather roofing houses, while we were cleaning up the old roof we were talking about the move Pump Up the Volume and the meaning of Amen. There is the phrase sobeit in the movie and according to a biblical dictionary he had that was also the meaning of Amen. One of us asked what SOBEIT meant and out of no ware I came up with I caused this. I allowed this to happen. I knew the consciences but I did it any way. SOBEIT. And it has always been kind of my view of life my acceptance of responsibility for myself. I have been told at first is comes off kind of argorrent but its not.

I'm grazer. My kids named me that cuz whenever I go anywhere or have some time, I always check out the plants to try the local fare. When I have some time I disappear for a while and come home with all sorts of stuff to cook up and try recipes. The kids roll their eyes and say "he's grazing again."
