How the heck does this happen. 90% of Americans want this, it's the law in Massachusetts, and they didn't follow the law. We need to pass some laws to make sure this does not happen again because the laws we have didn't stop it. Tell your Senators not to be cowards and to pass it again to stop radical Islamic terrorists from possessing guns without a background check and permits. That will stop it from ever happening again!!!

What about pressure cookers? We need laws requiring background checks for purchase, as well as permits for carrying concealed pressure cookers! Then we would all be safe.
(Before pressure was invented, people still cooked. Does any one NEED a pressure cooker anyway. Better just ban them.)

I stand corrected. Then let me suggest we make laws to make them illegalest since illegaler doesn't work in Massachusetts. We might even make illegal laws to make them illegalest or if that happens to also be illegal then more eligalest since illegal to the fourth power HAS to be illegal which would make someone illegal not only illegal but most illegal.
It gets better. She's the one who decides which firearms are Mass Compliant and which firearms are not.

The only place a civilian can get a REAL automatic M4 is if the civilian steals one from the military or from a police department, Federal, State, or Local.
Of course, never believe anything you read about firearms in the left wing controlled newspapers or other media, most certainly from the pap dispensers on teeeveee.

Some local news have been saying the MIT officer was shot for his gun.
And the holster had a 3 way lock that they couldn't figure out how to release.

One report that I heard stated the theory that after the carjacking they only had one gun. They killed the MIT LEO to acquire a second.

The voters reinstated the death penalty in a statewide referendum in 1982. In 1984 it was held unconstitutional by the SJC. The only requirement I would want for reinstatement of a death penalty sentence is absolute proof of guilt beyond any doubt, because far too many innocent people are convicted in a flawed legal system that, in reality, substantially favors the prosecution. I would be stunned if the gutless wimp legislators and governor of this state actually passed such a law.

Gun laws cost the law abiding citizens more than the Criminals.
Death Penalty COSTS wAAAAAY more for the tax payers than the criminal, Often they get free legal aide and if not the state has to pay.
You can house 10 inmates for life 50 yrs at the cost of sentencing just 1 person to death.

Folks name a gun what they want. If I take an M-16 lower pre-86 and put a 14.5" upper on it I could call it an M-4 or in some cases an M-4A1.
There are also people that have title II FFLs that make or own (illegally actually) dealer samples. They can possess these dealer samples for as long as they are a title II dealer. I see a lot of sub-gun competitors with new H&K sub-guns. The BATF says don't do it. But until they make some test cases people are pushing the limits.

I'm guessing they mean the shotgun) and that FlashBang wasn't even armed when found hiding in the boat. There seems to be an effort going on to make people feel sorry for the apprehended suspect.

I get a horrified kick out of the Huff and all the uh...folks...on there crying that the background check, if passed, would have prevented the perps from buying a gun (and the rifle and the M-4). It took two pages of comments for someone to point out that they were pretty sure that if they had an M-4, the gun didn't come from any source that would have performed a background check in the interests of following the law. Or that terrorists obviously aren't afraid of breaking the law against murder with things other than guns. How is it people have such tunnel vision?

There may be other stories that mention it, but I doubt they are from independent research. It the NYT or AP reports it, others pick it up and go with it without verification.
