The main reason I like this show ,is because he brings his "fru-fru" wife with him , its quite enjoyable as even my wife watches and usually agrees with her , "I cant kill that animal" and he says "good we'll starve" , they were on the island of Montserrat on a resent show , the great thing about this was , this is the perfect situation , part of the island has been ravaged by volcanic activity , and theres a whole city sitting there completely abandoned , thousands of homes deserted forced out ,many of them , the people left all of there belongings , now the beauty in this episode was the fact that even this situation where things might appear normal they are not , she grabbed a can of food from a pantry and he said nope "when a can balloons out like that its no good" , bacterium is in it! They searched water sources (granted these homes have been vacant since the 90's) , but in some of the bottles they found some water , there was bleach available and although he couldnt remember exactly the ratios a little "extra can only help it" , then while searching he came across an old water heater and sure enough there was water in it , now thats a great find (it had to be steralized ,but still a great find) , this was one of the best survival shows Ive seen in a long time , because it relates exactly to a true survival situation in an urban area , it was really bizzare seeing some of these (million dollar homes) vacant , I couldve searched for days finding stuff in there , but the volcano is in fact still very active and shoots lava directly in the path of that town . there is all kinds of feral hogs,chickens,cows and other critters that were left abandoned on there own , so food is plentiful if you look for it, plus the ocean is nearby!

I don't blame you for liking this show,SemperFi.The interaction between Mykel and Ruth is fun to watch.The comment about how Ruth's technique of getting water from the vine was funny.Much like how Cody's comments help to add humor to the situations they encounter on Dual Survival.
The first time I seen Mykel Hawke on a show was Bizzare Foods.He helped out Andrew Z. survive on an island by training him and just watching from a distance to access how he was doing.I knew that it was only a matter of time before he had a show of his own.

I watch this show for it's silliness. Last season "Captain Husband" forced "Sergeant Major Wife" to drink his urine. She later got really ill and the crew had to bring her bottled water! Any idiot advocating drinking their own urine is bad enough; but somebody else's urine is just plain stupid! However the forest fire episode as well as the afore mentioned volcano city episode were pretty cool. In the episode Semper Fi is talking about Hawke hold a chicken very tenderly while speaking softly to it, then violently breaks it's neck...freakin' hilarious! :lol: :lol: :lol:
