Loving my job!!!

I can honestly say that besides my Military career I have never loved a job, until now. I absolutely love being a Spray Technician. In a short month I have learned so much and can't get enough. I get to work outside, meet lots of people and enjoy beautiful scenery all day long. I went to a seminar last night and have another one next month. I have enrolled at the University of Florida to get a Certificate in Pest Control Technology and plan to get State Certified. I think the thing I love the most about this job is I will continue to learn new things every day. I am so thankful I have the opportunity to do this job. My wife is in ALS (Airmen Leadership School) now and will be a Staff Sergeant next month. I haven't seen her this happy since 2008. Our lives have changed so much since we got here and it's wonderful. Amazing how a new location can change so much. Our new addition will be here in January, Austin Jacob, so finally little Travis will have someone to play with. I guess the bottom line is.... Life is good!

That's great Doug. I am on the board of a pest control association. One of our main focuses is on training for the industry. We run a few field days around the state each year. We're doing one up around my neck of the woods on Friday (10 hours of continuing education hours and technician training available). I'll let you know if we get one going out your way.

That would be awesome. I need a few more CEU's and I heard about a trade show in New Orleans around November I might go to. Last night we had a speaker from Bayer, I can't remember his name, but he sure knew his stuff. I'm glad I got to use my Military training for something.

If you go out of state for your CEU's make sure the course you are taking has been approved by FDACS. Your speaker from Bayer may have been Al Turner.
