Plane Crash Claims Two Lives

A small plane went down on a golf course about a mile down the road from me. All we know at this point is that at least one neighbor was on board. NTSB and FAA are currently on site assessing the crash and relatives are still being notified according to the police so they won't release any information. Some of the folks that saw it go down said it nose dived into the the course. It's a pretty popular course lined with homes so it's really fortunate no one else was injured or killed. It was a Remos GX like the one pictured below.

From the witness reports it doesn't sound like mechanical failure. I wonder if the pilot suffered some sort of medical issue (heart attack).

The weather was actually really nice. High 60s and sunshine. Hardly any wind. It just shows you can be minding your own business at home and a danged plane fall out of the sky on you. How do you plan for that?!

"Honey, why are you sitting in the basement under the stairs?"
"A plane might hit the house."
"Oy vey!"

It turns out it was a couple of engineering students from Purdue. Pretty young to be taken out. As it turned out I didn't the neighbor's son.
