Finally Settled

Well we've been in Florida for 19 now. The wife is in the groove at work. Getting ready to do Airman Leadership Course so she can pin on Staff Sergeant. Our son is in a really nice Day Care Center close to home. We got most of our stuff unpacked and organized except the garage. And today I got a job at a local Lawn Care company as their Spray Technician. Feels good to have a groove back again.

Well thankfully I didn't have to grovel. Sent in my resume last Thursday, had an interview on Friday and they offered me the job Wednesday. Not too bad, guess I looked good on paper. :)

I know that at one time you had wanted to start your own business. Now that you will be an ID card holder in Florida you can start working toward that. You've got to have three years minimum experience before you can test for your Certified Operators License, but you are on your way if that is what you want to do.

Do you think it would be worth getting that Certificate? Most of it is offered online so it would be feasible for me to obtain. Plus I still have my Post 9/11 GI Bill that would pay for most of it. Course I have to wait 12 months before I am a legal Florida resident.

I haven't looked at their course, but UF has a great entomology department. I'm fortunate to get to work with quite a few of the members of their teaching and research staff in a couple of the roles I fill. If you have the opportunity to take it and use your GI Bill, I think it would be worth pursuing.
