Today's Walk About

I spent some time wandering around the Osceola National Forest today. Several fires were started last week from lightning strikes. Many were still smoldering. I came across one that had re-ignited. It took a little while, but I got the flames out.

Wow, great scenery.
Hopefully the fires didn't destroy too much.

We have some native prarie areas and are burned off yearly to keep it as natural as possible, and reduce invasive species down.
Don't know if this would a case like that, sure is pretty, though.

Natural fires should be allowed to burn, IMO, it's good for the planet.
