New to this forum.

Hi all, my name is Rodney, just looking to join here and find some like minded people in the survival world. Im 30 years old and have loved camping, hunting,fishing etc... since i was a boy. I've been studying and practicing survival for awhile now on my 30 acres of land and various state parks. Well the past few years things haven't been going so well with me and im sure alot of you can probably relate, Jobs,Economy, BS laws and Government, The usual. Anyway, I have been thinking about selling off everything i have and heading to Alaska. Im just tired of modern society and prefer more and more each day to be away from it all and live out the rest of my life in peace with nature. One thing i have discovered is , its very hard to find any information about land there from here and what i do find is people that have bought land for a little of nothing and now are trying to sell it for 20 times what they paid. I have 2 options, either squat in the wilderness or buy a few acres ( of which i cant find nor afford ). Id like get up there and buy a few horse, one to ride and a couple to use for pack horses and was also thinking maybe this trip would be better and have a higher chance at success if i found a couple of people who had like minded ideas and wanted to try it. Im thinking ill head out about the end of February beginning of March,that would be plenty of time to get settled in and get situated before winter set in. I plan to spend the coming months training hard and getting physically fit and prepared. Ill write more later about my ideas and such, just wanted to give a little information about myself.
