Finally - A Little Rain!

We finally got some rain. The severity of the storm depended on where you were in town. My neighborhood got a really cool light show with accompanying sound effects, along with a nice light rain for an hour or two. Some areas are still without power and have to deal with the downed trees after high winds and several inches of rain in that same time frame. The sky was really ominous looking as the storm approached. The pictures don't really do it justice.

Oh I do like a good storm. I'm hoping for one today, very muggy and humid here, bleugghh. Pics are very atmospheric(excuse the pun!)

We picked up 1.2 inches earlier this week. The first in a good while. Hoping for more this week-end. The State Fair is in full swing so it can stay dry over them.
