It will be interesting to see how this shapes up. Now they are saying Duggan didn't fire his weapon as was first reported. Sad that one incident can cause so much unrest and devastation. Sad, too, that some take advantage of such situations. Of course, we've seen it here as well. I think you're out of the fray, Winnie, but stay same none-the-less. And Winnie Jr. as well.

I don't disagree with you. The looting just sizzles my behind. I think the cowards should be shot dead as they come out of the store. Consider it "Tactical Training" for the officers what with the moving targets and all.

Prayers for the safety of all our UK friends. I believe Winnie's out oh harms way (hopefully W Jr. as well) but I'd hate for her to even loose sleep over it. Watching the news videos is painful and enough to make me want to go postal if I lived there.
Thank God for our 2nd Ammnd. because there but for the grace of God go we, and especially I given where I am.
Man, one never knows. Who could have seen it coming out of nowhere, really.

Thankyou all for your concern and well wishes. Luckily, I am well away from the trouble. Winnie jnr lives in Nottingham, and couldn't get to work yesterday I don't think he'll be at work again today as there was more looting last night. He rang and is OK. I refuse to call this rioting. They have nothing to riot about. It is simply looting and trouble making for the sake of it. Nothing more or less. As for that Duggan bloke, it doesn't really matter whether or not he fired the first shot. He ran from Police waving a gun about. That to me, is cause enough for more ventilation. After his shooting he was practically martyred. One person even said he was only a "bit" bad! Hello, he was a Yardie gang member, and drug dealer. I doubt he'll be missed.
People are now getting organised and protecting their own in groups.

Not surprising really - when the property owners that are trying to protect what is theirs - what they have spent their lives building - are referred to as "vigilantes" and the thugs are referred to as "protestors".

Woohoo! Courts are sitting overnight to get these lowlifes through the system. Sentences are now getting a lot tougher. Weeks and months!
