You're right about the wolves Sarge, they can be a bit touchy at times.

We all have to start somewhere though and that's why I thought it was appropriate to point out that even our forum founder has made a dreaded "Newbie Comment". I think all of the TV shows have drawn great interest to wilderness skills, skills that are being lost due to lack of interest. Everyone has their own approach, skills, likes and dislikes, the main thing is to keep people interested in the outdoors. Because once the greater population loses interest, I feel we may lose more than just skills.

So if your new to all of this, don't be timid, come on in. If you have skills and experience, share it with everyone, we need you. All are welcome here!

Yea, and the last thing we want is for the love of the outdoors and wilderness/ survival skills to become an elitist sport where only the select few who share the exact same thought process run the show, that is the biggest damper on learning since book burning became popular. I welcome all ideas, even if they are half-baked or poorly thought out.
