Remember the ideals of this nation, and most certainly the sacrifices of all the serviceman who fought to form and protect those ideals over the years. Thanks, Pal. For those of us that have traveled across this great land the one thing that rings true is that small towns everywhere are just about the same; East, West, North or South. The dialect is a bit different, the weather is a bit different but the folks are all the same. When the chips are down you get to see what an American is all about no matter where in the world the chips fell or how hard they fell.

My brother was Captain of the Band so I probably was marching. For all I know he was barking out cadence.

The guy waving to everyone was Senator Ken Gray. He was head of the Ways and Means Committee at the time. One of the more powerful in Congress because he held the purse strings.

Great vid. Reminds me of the parades in the town that I grew up in. My Dad was Chief of Civil Defense, so always pulled traffic control on parade days.
