It's a fund set up to offer a little helping hand or maybe a gift to cheer up a member who is down on their luck or under the weather in some way, we like to help take care of our own. Members can make contributions to the DOC fund, there are oftentimes auctions and the such held to swell the DOC coffers. Hope this helps explain things, Winter.

My thanks to you all. There were a few holes in my storage which it now seems extremely foolish to have ignored, but then again I was not looking at being in a bind more than a couple of weeks. Items such as ***Light bulbs, Laundry soap, Liquid plumber...(sounds funny but if you got plugged pipes and cant walk, dig a snake out of a packed shed, or get to a store what ya gonna do?). I can honestly say that the gift was certainly appreciated and put to very good use. I am well on the mend and hopefully going to being doing some side work soon till I can find something more permanent.

P.S. anyone have any ideas or knowledge of possibly using lye soap or lye water prior to making soap for drain cleaning that might be posted as an aside to the soap making section? I know the old red devil was basically a dry form of lye but am no plumber....
