learning to post video

I recently finished up a project, it's a 100 year old planer that I coupled a stationary engine to. It was my granddads planer and we usually powered it with a tractor and drive belt. Anywhoo I thought it might be cool to tape it in operation and post it in the homesteading forum.

In a nutshell where do I learn to post video? I'm thinking it must be like a photo bucket account but youtube. thanks

There are many ways (and I only know of a couple).

If you are using Windows, after you shoot the video, download it just like you would download pictures. You can then upload that raw video to either Photobucket or YouTube.

If however you want to edit the video (add titles, cut out stuff, etc) there is a program included in Windows (if you are using Windows) called Movie Maker. The first time I used Movie Maker it took a little to figure it out with using the FAQ's and tutorials that are available, but it really isn't that hard. After you edit the video you then "publish" it to your computer (click of your mouse - easier than it sounds). Then you can upload that edited video to Photobucket or YouTube.

yes, but you'll need to use video editing/mixing software to put the audio segments were you want them along the timeline. you could also use software that lets you add text captions or subtitles at the appropriate points. i think youtube includes a utility that allows you to do that the time of upload. I haven't used it so i can't say for sure
