When the men tried to take her purse, Guebara began screaming, alerting 10 to 15 family members who live in the same building, Davis said.

That's when one of the alleged robbers fired a gun at family members.

"The round passed through the clothing of an Alex Echeverria, but failed to strike his body," Davis said.

Guebara's family members then ran after the two, caught them and disarmed them during a struggle, Davis said.

"Both suspects were shot during the initial struggle, with the suspect's gun, and then the family severely beat, stabbed and cut both suspects," Davis said.

No charges have been filed, Davis said.

Oops wrong person and wrong time.......

Had one here a while back, guy tried to rob a supermarket.....Clerk fought him off and started screaming.....Guy took off, but was caught a 1/2 block away, seems it was pretty easy, as his pants were falling down.
Other customers grabbed the guy and dragged him back, pants around his ankles. Held him for the LEO's.

One here last week - an armed woman robbed a store and took off on foot. She ran onto a car dealership - fired a shot in the air - took an employee hostage - and took off on a golf cart (with her hostage) - hostage beat the snot out of her and held her for police.

If you are going to steal a vehicle at a Ford dealership as your getaway vehicle you may want to consider a Mustang GT instead of a golf cart. Just sayin'.

Years ago I lived in Colorado Springs. Two guys tried to rob a Cowboy bar. The Cowboys took their guns away from them & were beating the holy crap out of them when the police finally got there! You never seen two bad guys more happier to be arrested for armed robbery in your life! :surrender:
