Great pics as usual. Most folks don't realize that pear cactus grows quite well in the Midwest despite the cold winters. They will shrivel up and look dead in the winter but they are just dormant. Come spring and warmer weather they green back up and keep growing. We had them for years but I got tired of digging the tiny stickers out of my fingers.

Gotta make yourself some tongs so you can harvest those pears. I don't know if you've ever tried them, but they are delicious. The texture of cantelope, with the flavor something like a raspberry. Great pics as usual!

They are beautiful pictures. I got to see the beavertail cactus in bloom this spring. Absolutely the most beautiful purple flowers on them. Thanks for the picture of the prickly pear cactus.
