Default This year were trying something new.

We decided that this year were going to make some wine, this is going to be a first for us, So on the list will be Pear wine, bleuberry wine.

Any tips tricks or words of wisdom are appreciated, I bought the 5 gal wine making kit and it comes with a book and recepies, also bought bottles, corks and corking machine.

I figure by what the book says , I can make 20 gals + of pear wine ( I am not but I could.) now the blue berrys i will only have enough for a gallon if not a little less.

Sounds like a fun project with great reward in the end.

I have never wanted to make wine but would like to have a go at a still someday. I am almost certain there are a few of those in operation here on the forum

Depending on how this batch comes out, I may expand and try other fruits, but this year as the test were only using fruit we have grown and have an overage of didn't want to spend extra on fruits in case it doesn't work out as planed.

The best blackberry wine I ever tasted, had a real simple recipe.

1.Fill a Mason jar about half full of fresh blackberries.

    2. Finish filling the jar with grade A 'shine.

    3. Put the lid on it.
