nights spent outside

as i lay on the ground trying to fall asleep the other night, i got to thinking, i like taking care of moose calves during the summer it gets me outside for about 4 months at night plus my other activities i spend anywhere from 120 to 150 nights a year sleeping outdoors, funny when i don't have a moose that has fallen to about 30 nights, just wondering how many nights out of the year some of you other folks like to or have to spend outdoors?

In the past year, only 3 nights. All in a tent.

Guess I have to find myself a moose.

Probably ten days if I counted right. Most were just a ground cover. The last one in a tent. I'm getting old, I guess.

Does your better half spend time with you outdoors?

I enjoyed a good old fashioned New England Clamboil for dinner last night. We ate kinda' late. My Honey told me that if I didn't stop eating those clams, I was gonna' be spending LAST NIGHT outdoors. Guests can not see images in the messages. Please register in the forum.

Some guys are never happy......they have a sweetie, but want to sleep with a moose now and then.

So far this year, I've camped about 14 days, although 3 were in a friend's rustic cabin by a river. Hope to do as much, if not more, in the fall.

If your "DEER" catches you sleeping with a "MOOSE" you'll need good medical coverage., and wish you were wearing your "CUP"......

the mrs is giving me a break this year she does 2 nights a week, so i can get caught up on the farm chores those two nights

Just checked my local weather, 91 degrees, 50% humidity, that makes the heat index 97 degrees. It's not even July yet. By the end of July it will be averaging 98 - 100 degrees with an 80% humidity. your looking at a heat index of roughly 12-130 degrees. Have you ever been in a sauna? How about for three months straight?

I might have to buy a small spot on Hopeak's property and migrate for the summer.

On a average month I'll spend six nights out but a few months a year I'll spend much more. I know Backpacker magazine's website has a trail log feature that you can record your nights out. I don't use it but it's interesting to read other peoples posts.
