Default Need your feedback and opinion...

    Hey friends,
My guiding/outfitting biz is about to recieve some great national exposure, and hopefully i'll get alot of web traffic over it. So, I've just spent the past week redesigning and updating the websites for my business. In my eyes they're great, but I'd like some feedback, if you'd check them out then give me your opinion that would be great. The links are in my signature line here at the bottom of this post.
What I am looking for is
    Easy to Navigate?
    Easy to find important info?
Do they draw you in and make you want to learn more...read more about us?
    Does everything make sense?...wording/phrasing
Does the web site, make you want to book a trip (do the activity)
    Typo's
    Other suggestions/criticisms are apprecitated
Lastly, I am no web designer, I did this off a standard "free" template site so, real web designers let me know what could make it better and more professional
    thanks
    Jason.

Jason - looks like the responses to your question didn't survive the data base error recovery. I'll say again that I like both sites (somebody said they found a spelling error on one - maybe they'll post again). Maybe some "testimonials" from former clients would create a buzz. Referral discounts work in my business, not sure about yours. Good luck.

I thought it looked good, easy to navigate.

    Thumbs up

Very nice sites! Only typos I saw were both on "The Dogs" section of the Dogsled site. "Advertizement and grayhound." Other than that the abundance of info was great. Trips well explained, requirements, prices, everything you need to know to make your choices. I especially liked the explanation about "Alaskan" huskies. That said, it would be nice to be able to click the static pics and get a larger image. I really wanted to see the huskies up close!

I do a lot of extended stays out of town in my job and often look on the web for campgrounds to stay at while I'm working before a new job begins. If I ever found one with this much info I might not look any further. So great job and since I'm usually not working during the winter, I may just have to check out those web sites again later this summer and plan a little jaunt out west!

Jason - I haven't finished nit picking yet, but here's what I have found so far that you may want to look at.

    Home Page
    National Georaphic,and Outside
should be Geographic ---- add a space after the comma.
    Trust your families vacation
    should be family's.

    Raft Trips Page
    cliffjumping
    should be two words

    Canoe Trips Page
    our areas
    should be our area's

I'll nit pick more a bit later.

That is something Ive always wanted to do.Are the cheaper packages for riding only?I wouldnt want to be a rider for long.Is driving only included in the higher priced packages? Is it complicated piloting these critter?I have plowed with a mule.Ha and Gee,but never mush.Driving[with you beside me]of course for 1/2 day would be well worth 200 bucks to me.I probably wouldnt pay more, for more.2 hours out, stop for lunch, coffee, whatever and 2 hours back. This probably isnt what your looking for but I am being honest. The site looks good.

Im sorry 225.00 would be fine too but I would need, want or like to drive.Since its not stipulated I figure Two sleds would then be needed inwhich it wouldnt be cost affective perhaps.

Hey thanks for all the great feedback! There was some good stuff on this original thread- hopefully...people will repost. Thanks Crash for the thorough read! I'll make those updates ASAP.
Stairman...you could drive your own team! Most of our trips the clients run their own sled of dogs, following a guides team. Thats built into the price. I have been discounting trips this season with special promotions though.
Laslty, the rates for dogsledding are a bit spendy, but for most folks its a once in a lifetime experience and they are willing to pay it. People rarely question it...I guess the realize the dogs have to fed year around- not just the day they go for a ride.

    GOOGLE.

If you were planning a family float trip in the National Park I operate near, what terms would you use to search GOOGLE for to locate a company that offers such services?

If I was in the market (of course, now I would just contact you) I would Google Rafting, raft trips, float trip, kyaking, river trip....just a few ideas.

Edit: If I knew that I wanted to do it in Montana or Yellowstone, I would at that to my search.

Jason - here are my nit picks from the Dog Sled site.

Tours page - 1/2 Day Tour
    Hot Choclate
    should be Hot Chocolate

    The Dogs page -
    advertizements
    should be advertisements

Both sites were easy to navigate, the pictures were inspiring, the staff experience promotes confidence in a fun and safe trip. Good luck! Let us know when the NYT stuff is out.

And if they witness how much those dogs eat they'll understand the price!
