The Long gun earlier today. Giving it the once over and getting ready for small game, deer, and hog season. Need to work down the load a bit, the 70grns of 3F is pushing a little hard.
She sports a 44" 45 cal barrel and is weighing in at 12lbs. Built in the 1950's by Russ Hamm. ![]() Had to get a new shooting bag, just plane Jane and versatile. ![]()

Going to go chase some tree rats Tues. am and track a few hogs. Would like to get a small hog, tender.
Don't get out much anymore as I enjoy the time with the kids. Prob. won't even do early season bow for deer. More I see deer, less I want to kill them. Have a great spot scouted out, ahhhh. Really looking forward to a late season small game outing over the weekend. Pre 1840's gear, eat what you kill. Hog in Ga is small game, LOL.

Nice looking long gun you got there, FVR. Have you entered any shooting contest with it, like driving a nail head?

Corndog,
Not yet. I just switched over from a mod. cut down GPR. I had the barrel cut down at the first ferrel. I would go to the shoots and the old timers use to give me a hard time cause it was so short. After I cut the card, cut the straw, and hit the nail head, they kept their comments to themselves.
