and you know...they taught grylli vanilli ....so that just says it all for me right there....(my apologies to all true SAS members, not meaning to p*ss off anyone who can kill me with a dirty look)
some fella confronted me the other day and asked "What's your problem?" So I told him, "I don't have a problem I am a problem"

SAS training is intense and about the best you can get for long term wilderness survival. I would say SF is the next best. ROK training puts them both to shame for discipline but lacks the wilderness long term training.

For cold weather training head to Canada. For desert training look to SA5 and for mountain training look to the Chilean Army Special Group 3.

If you do not have access to these organizations. Try The Wilderness Survival Forums and look for someone going out, in your area, who is willing to teach you.

The Sierra Club offers some training.

Do a lot of reading and trying things when camping and in your yard, before you try to depend on it.

Aren't they called Special Air Service because they take the lil short yellow bus to war
There is no greater solitude than that of the Tracker in the forest, unless perhaps it's that of the wolf in the wilderness.
