I have been on other forums that pretty much only show what the moderators agree with. Before I begin posting here, or get attached to this forum and the people here, I would like to know that the forum is open. I can only speak for myself, but I would like to decide if certain information is or isn't helpful to me. I can choose not to read "troll" postings if that is the case. Some of the responses to this post were petty and insulting to me, but they were honest. It is the honesty that I appreciate, and just want to see it encouraged and even protected.
Just remember that free speech doesn't mean that there are no consequences and/or limits.

A few points.......
Agreeing or disagreeing with a Moderator has absolutely nothing to do with what it posted here. I wouldn't be a Moderator if it was, and I suspect the other Moderators feel the same.
As a New Member (I believe that changes after 10 posts to Junior Member) any post that you make that includes any link will automatically go to moderation. It is one of the anti-spam tools we have.
When you say "open" - for the most part it is with a few exceptions. There is no discussion of religion or politics allowed here. Also - discussion of illegal activities is verboten. Spammers are dealt with swiftly. Trolls are not tolerated either. Flame wars are quickly extinguished.
While you may have found some of the responses to your first post petty and insulting, consider this.....Your first post here left a lot of doubt as to your intentions, or even what your question was. Pleas understand that we (as I'm sure other forums do as well) often get the young, immature poster that gets their jollies from posting inane, stupid things. We also get our fair share of students that want to complete their homework with no leg work.
If you have specific questions, feel free to ask.
I would have never guessed that is what you were getting it by your first post.
I will offer one caveat that a lot of people seem to forget on the intrawebs. Forums such as this are owned by people so they do have a right to choose what is and is not permitted. It is technically not free speech, but rather allowed speech. This forum is rather lenient, but does stick to its rules very well. Something I appreciate, very little gray areas.

Hey Honest. Long story short, if you want a decent place to hang out and discuss stuff then hang around. There is even a general discussion where you can talk about stuff not survival related. Crash explained the few rules that there are and all the moderators are firm, but fair, in their enforcement. I skim other forums on occassion, but this is the only one I'm on religeously (not to be confused with religeon so no censorship neccessary!). Good stuff and good people here. Feel free to join so that you may contribute and learn.
