I did a bit of driving around after the flooding we just experienced in Mass and Rhode Island. Sure enough, some of the posted "evacuation routes" - including 3 major highways - were closed in places due to flooding. The routes I had planned to use were all high and dry.

My wife took this pic of the Ohio River on the way to Columbus Ohio this afternoon. It looks kinda full to me... I know it's a long way from Mass, but that rain dumped into the Ohio valley too, right?

I know at least 7 different routes from the city I am in now, Greeley, CO to my remote mtn retreat - BOL and variations on those routes. And I have driven them all but some much more than others, since 1987 when I bought the remote land.

And I show how I would get to my BOL - remote mtn retreat with many pics and what I would do once I got up there > http://www.wilderness-survival.net/f...ad.php?t=11619

I haven't heard of GPS being compatible with Yahoo maps so far... MSN yes but Yahoo...

Still, if you are looking for the best GPS right now on the market, why don't you check out my GPS blog, it's quite informative and will give you the best performance for your money.

See if you can map your way to our Introductions Forum, okay? Use your GPS if necessary.
