Default Scroll Work on my Flintlock

Well I kinda went nuts doing carving on wood things in my Trekking gear, ended up pulling out my flintlock "names Jeremaih" and did some wood carving and antiquing on it... here's the before and after pics hope ya like it.
Oh I used the tenpenny nail and small brass hammer method again like they did in the old days.

There is no greater solitude than that of the Tracker in the forest, unless perhaps it's that of the wolf in the wilderness.

Nice work! What keeps the nail from catching and digging in? I think it would look like a cat scratch post if I tried.

I'll post the tools I use after work, the nail I sharpened down by rubbing on concrete, and the small brass hammer is about four inches long. Small taps to just scratch a line and make a trap, then once its totally in the wood I do it again a little harder, use a small rounded file once done to smooth it out as best I can.
