    Default Hello

    Hi,
I came across this forum looking for answers to a few questions and in browsing through the forms I didn't find what I am looking for so I joined so I could ask them. I live in Almena Wisconsin(small town, pop about 700). My hobbies are traditional hunting (flintlock smooth bore and selfbow) and fishing (netting, spearing, trapping, fly, handline and with modern equiptment). I am nowhare near as prepared as some of you, but I think we are prepaired for two or three weeks of being snowbound with not power.

How do you use spell check on this forum?

Hello! Yeah, if spelling was a biggie here, I'd been kicked out ages ago...

Survival is not about surviving AGAINST the nature. It's about surviving WITH the nature.

You can't go in to nature, nature is not a place or an object. Nature just is. You are living it.

Welcome home. As you type, anything you spell incorrectly will have a red underline. You can right click your mouse on the word and you will be offered some words to replace it with. If I type the word Wlcome incorrectly....

Guests can not see images in the messages. Please register in the forum.

You can see the word Wlcome is underlined in red and the spell check is offering the word Welcome to replace it.

Of course, spell check won't catch a word typed correctly but used in the wrong context such as two for to.

Hello and welcome. My spell check works a little differently than Rick described (words not checked as I type). I have a spell check button on the top of my browser toolbar (Windows Vista Home Premium). I imagine it is different for different systems.

Hello and Welcome to the site!
Just call me poco or Mel. My username is way too long!LOL I know some survival skills, some wild edible and medicinal plants, and some basic woodscraft. Many good folks here, that will be glad to help you out in your quest for knowledge.
Ah, don't sweat it, Firefox tells me that username and woodscraft are misspelled but they aren't (are They?). Any way who cares as long as y'all can understand what I'm saying!!
