Of course I read what you write. That's why I responded the way I did. What I do or do not sell has nothing to do with my opinion.
"Still not a great survival knife though."
I realize it's a matter of opinion but I would bet my life on one just as quick as any other knife.
"They are fragile, and the range of jobs they can do is you have to admit pretty limited compare to my RAT 7 for example."
They aren't fragile. They are working knives. Tools. Are they the same caliber as a RAT 7? Of course not. But then they don't cost nearly as much either.
"I have mine for trade and barter, and in the truck just in case...but for survival situations, in my case more likely urban, a Mora is like a child's toy."
Okay, if you say so.
"My RAT will break car windows, chew metal, take down small trees and still keep a cutting edge...the Mora could never do any of that."
Of course it will break car windows. Care to volunteer yours for a test?
I would never chew through metal with any knife and as far as small trees. I can baton stuff. I guess it depends on your definition of small tree. Can the RAT 7 eat bigger trees? Sure.
"It's cheap."
As I said, it's inexpensive. Not cheap. Good metal, well made, Nice edge out of the box.
"But you can also use a kitchen knife to do what the Mora would do."
That you would have to prove.
"Further more...sending "newbies", "numpties" and "wannabes" in the wild with a Mora as their primary survival tool is down right dangerous !!!"
Sending them out there with any sharp is dangerous. They are numpties.
"The knife, being your primary survival tool, can't be cheap."
If you truly believe that then you would buy the Bear Gryllis knive. It's very expensive so it must be great for a primary survival tool.
"I would rely on a stone knife any-day before i would rely on a Mora for my survival."
Yeah, sure you would.
"If you had to go survive somewhere for an indefinite amount of time...and you could choose the knife you would bring with you...would you seriously take a Mora"
Yeah, I do.
