    Default New ID braclet

July is Tour de France time in oure house. So while watching the Tour the announcers were pitching a new ID system. Its called Road ID.You can have up to 7 lines of emergency contact info on the tag.The band looks like a nylon watch band whith the tag(which reflects I believe)attached. They have a new model that uses the same tag but has an adjustable alyuminum band.

If I could figure out how to post a link it would. The web site is RoadID.com check it out.

It's actually roadid.com I think. I run quite a bit and obviously don't have a lot of pockets for IDs and such. I have one of the bands and can say they are very nice quality and a seem to be a good price. It is peace of mind to know that, should I get clipped by a car or keel over with a medical emergency, there is all of my emergency information handy. There are character limits but you can put just about anything on them. They did actually come back with some suggestions on formatting the information when I ordered mine which was a nice personal touch.

No worries. I do feel like I'm being a little neurotic about things but for those of us who hit the road on foot or on bikes and don't have a place for IDs, I think it's reasonable. I'm running a 200 mile team relay in a few weeks from Fort Collins to Steamboat Springs Colorado and there are some pretty desolate stretches. Even though there is a support van, my teammates wouldn't have all of my emergency numbers handy and may not be first on the scene should something happen. It's can also be extremely valuable to have things like allergies, medical conditions and blood type handy.

Just ordered one last night. I am a cyclist. I have been meaning to get a RoadID for years. I do a lot of solo riding anywhere from 30-70 miles from the house.

Not a bad idea for us roadies who could easily be damaged in a wreck.

I got to thinking it would be good for hiking too!
