Just a few words to tell ya a bit about me. I'm a male, mid forties currently livin' in Tampa Florida. WWorked most of my life in metal fabrication, (thus my macguiver nature) spent a short stint in the army, and currently tend to do whatever I can to get by in the current economic snafu. For survival experience I camp extensively when time permits and have done actual survival stints with bare minimum equipment in the southern states...(prefer a tent, hammock, sleepingbag, plenty of stores, and propane heat in winter...lol) The longest stretch I've spent out was two weeks I think in Ocala Florida.
As to my level of experience, not sure how to rate it. I had the basic survival in the army and bivouac ect as well as growin' up campin' in Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida ect. I can catch fish with almost anything and make traps of various types from almost anything. I like hunting and use both bow and rifles.
I was born on a rabbit farm and raise meat rabbits even today New Zealand Whites and Californians. Have had pigs, chickens and turkeys in the past.
I grow lots of greens for my rabbits and all the local insects to devour.
I'm here to learn what I can and happy to share what little I know. I have enjoyed readin' the forum and decided to stick my nose in and say hey.
