    Default Military Air-Drop Sled.....Parachute, waterproof, Red Sled

    Wanting Information on a Military Surplus sled. If need be I can fetch the part numbers. It is made of aluminum and very high quality. The top has cam'locks and a rubber gasket. It is red on the outside, and green on the inside. It indicates Air-drop First-aid. There is a heavy web harness to pull it by foot power or maybe snow machine. It is about 4' to 5' long and 30" wide, and maybe 11" deep. I wish I had several more. I use it for winter logging, to haul wedges, oil, files, chain loops. Do you know anything about these sleds....?

    The modern version is the Ahkio sled. You might also see it referred to as a Pulk. I don't think this is what you are looking for but take a look. It might work:

    I was involved with dropping a lot of things from the sky, but that sled doesn't ring a bell (but the Akhio sure does!). SD, it sounds like something the USAF PJs would use.
