    Default Primitive pack frame-canoe chair

While going thru my stuff, still cooled than heck out, found the straps, that I put in the "special place, where I won't forget where they are".

So with y'alls inspiration aqn making stuff, I decided to put them on the canoe chair, doubles as a pack frame.

    Two different versions:
The pack and the pack basket.

Dang it, Hunter! You put the basket square in front of the game!!!!!

Oh, yea. That's a nice set up. Sort of a multi, multi, multi, multi-use item. Did you also make the chair?

No, but I did make a couple of hides into raw hide, with the idea of doing a couple more.

Straps aren't completely done yet, still looking for the 4 brass rings I got for the adjustable buckles.
So tomorrow, off to the craft store, and if I can't find the rings, gonna use leather lacing for the strap adjustment.
These pic's were taken in my "winter shop", basement.

Well just don't crank that karaoke machine up too loud. You know how the neighbors are about loud music.

Seen that huh? LOL, like I tell DW, I'm not just a pretty face!

That karaoke machine only proves that alcohol and enthusiasm always out weighs talent and good sense.

Lots of fun at the camp grounds though.

thats really neat. a pack frame that doubles as a chair, or vice-versa. I can't find a pack I like so I'm making my own. Now I have to barter with my woodworking friend to make me a frame/chair like this. I'll always have a place to sit and it'll make carrying my few pieces of gear a lot easier on the old backbone.
You guys keep giving me great ideas for new projects... I gotta get some old ones done!
I like that H63. thanks for sharing!

This chair is made of bent oak, but I thinking that willow would be strong enough to do the same thing.

Have a stand of willow in the corner of my lower field, at the "Place".
If the beavers and muskrats didn't get it, I gonna harvest some.
They really cleaned me out the last couple of years, grows fast, but might have to wait till fall.

My plan is to make a couple of "willow backs", basically a willow mat that can be used for a chair or bunk.

That's pretty slick, Hunter. Stairman posted on a tripod camp chair a while back. I would think that would serve very well for the willow mat. Just replace the cloth with the willow. Just a thought.

Very nice work, inventive also. I don't backpack and still working on a recliner for the ATV.
