    Default Tenn. Mountain Hog

Took off a little early today. Needed to smoke up some wild hog, turkey, and deer meat for this Fridays Native American day at my kids school.

Figured I'd put up the one pole, (took off work) wear buckskins to school and hand out smoked hog meat to the kids at the fair.

That is some of the best tasting hog meat I've ever smoked. Just plain old hickory that I cut down and dried, melts in your mouth. The outside is a dark brown, the inside is a mahogany color, juicy and SWWWEEEEETTTTT.

    Hmmmmm, hmmm.

I had to stop eating it. Was not going to be enough for the kiddys.

Left them with 40 ribs and about 150 cubed chunks.

    Yeh, I ate alot.

Surpised at the turkey, hated it. Cut it up for the dogs. I have yet to taste good wild turkey, had it smoked, baked, deep fried, and a host of other ways and it all tastes like elcrappo.

    Nasty birds.

I had some up here about 3 weeks ago that a guy came by the office with, smoked. It was pretty good, very lightly smoked, though.
