A few days back, I was talking to a young lady who was born in Montana. She said that 50 below there felt warmer than 25 above does here. It's because of the humidity from the ocean. I hate winter!

I had a lovely reminder of the winter season today ala New Jersey. Driving down the interstate (Rt 195) east bound at 5am. No one insight. Rain is cold and "monsoonish", heavy head wind and I am struggling to go even 50mph. Headlights appear in my rear view mirror. Suddenly there is a pickup truck going by me in the passing lane. But what do my wonderings eyes see? The trucks taillights are trying to pass his headlights!!!! I slow down, move to the shoulder while the other driver corrects his geometry enough to avoid crashing. So how am I rewarded for my courtesy? The other driver straightens things out, tailights and headlights properly aligned and he gives me the finger for being in his way!!!!! Aaah the delights of foul weather driving in New Jersey.

Well,, you certainly are in the right part of the country to hate winter. I am looking forward in 2 or so years to wintering in Upstate NY and summering in Puerto Rico ( a reverse snowbird). I enjoy the snow!!! Especially when I won't be working. And How can you beat the beaches in Puerto Rico?
