Default Intricacies of wilderness living during freeze-up

Every year out in the woods, we learn something new. The current lesson is in how deal with bureaucratic red tape that involves signed documents when you can only get out by helicopter for the next three months (exorbitant cost to disentangle red tape) and you have no fax.
Paper pushers are aghast to find that in this day and age, in this fair country, people still exist far from the roadways, iphones and fax machines. And they make no exceptions.

Just another thing to consider for those with the remote-living dreams...legally authorize a trusted person in town to sign things on your behalf.

Thanks for that...It really rings home. It is not as easy as it sounds..though rewarding..
Keep in mind the problem may be extremely complicated, though the "Fix" is often simple...
