A light layer of bark skin is left after shovelin' off the bark. Headin' out to make a draw knife to finish. Anyone have any ideas on an easier softer way? I still have 8 logs to go????????

If I Tacked the canvas in place and then used roofing tar or some sealant like that it would still be a LOT cheaper.
I've seen some "Recipes" for making your own oilcloth and such. For a Tipi (Teepee) I would think that would be better. Plus since the canvas for the drop cloth is "natural" in color I would think it would work better for your needs. You could even dye it camouflage or whatever before you waterproof it.
the last time i looked at them, they where a fair bit more that thant, but yes, i've always figured that would be the cheapest way to go.

I know this wouldn't be large enough for your use but yesterday at Lowe's we almost bought a 9X12 for $13 and change plus tax. So it shouldn't be all that expensive. At least I wouldn't think it would be that much more.

Very, very nice. The logs are coming along fine. You have a very nice family and I'm sure you are very proud of them as you should be. It's tough having that many bosses though, ain't it?

Well that's crazy. You taught your animals to play football? I see them in a huddle in the first pic. In the second the burrow is holding the line on you and it must have worked because they and the ball are at the other end of the field in pic 3 leaving you all alone. That's pretty amazing. Thank's for sharing@@

Actually they did have a game plan! My gelding took a hunk out of my truck fender with his teeth! I'll get a pic up when I get out to do the roof. Need some coffee first!
