    Default mealworms!

well i turned some of my young compost into a bunch of soil today, and noticed an enormous number of mealworms in the decomposing grapefruit.

yum! ...i mean the fish should love them. i guess i have a bait factory on my hands.

quite a valuable resource. shouldn't be long before the earthworms move in too! Nothing like not spending all that dough on bait. I keep a bait bed also, but not above ground. my worms are free till I dig 'em up. congrats!

I've never tried it, but have been told that if you put a light over it, they won't crawl out at night.

definitely, now if only ignition problems didn't keep preventing the fishing trip i've been dying for.
