Beats me. My usual limit is one. Got my first when I was a kid with a 22. The bird came out of the snow by a tree a couple of feet in front of me and reflex + luck dropped it on the wing. Best wing shot I never tried to make.

yup, i was out with allen on opening day, we use this time to walk and talk, nothing to serious just casual observations about the bush and also to get a great meal, we will cook up what we get right on the spot, taaaaastey stuff had squirrel yesterday

IIRC there is no season for squirrel in my area. I have seen a few and was tempted to make a meal out of him.

I like to Grouse hunt...My Brother has Brittany Spanials, he raises & breeds 'em ... Good bird dogs ! Great blood line from Bullet.

It takes 43 muscles to frown, 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze !
I have done fairly well on Grouse and Quail this year. With the amount of people in the woods now though (deer/elk season) they are getting harder to scare-up. This time of year I really miss my old dog. My new one does OK (and is an enjoyable companion in the woods), but she just does not have the nose of my old one.

I'll be bird hunting all next week! I got my deer first thing opening day so I have the rest of the month to bird hunt!! Lucky me!
