    Gene, you are amazing. I had a basic understanding of how one worked but you did a great job of putting it all together AND showing the small tricks that make it work. Great post!!!!

    Nice video Gene. I had the advantage of actually handling this at one of our Florida get togethers. Your video did a real nice job explaining it.

    that is the same spear that i had brought with me to show you. i have kept it to teach the technique with. i think that it is important to share. i hope to help others with the "not having what you need problem" in survival situations. inovation and a trust in "nature provides every thing" helps

    the horse shoe crab tail is a good idea. that is the perfect plan behind this kind of spear making , that so many optional points can be used with the basic design.

    Yes Sir, there are many other things that some one could use. like the spikes off of a cat fish, a sharp bird beak, a stone arrow head,.......
