    Default Harvesting reminder

Just a note that if you want to collect roots and bark for medicinal uses, depending on where you live, you may want to get started on that soon. The medicinal properties of the plants are most highly concentrated in the bark and roots as the plant starts to shut down for winter.

ground plants also will start storing energy in their bulbs and rhizomes as well. very nutritious, but the leaves wont start changing here for another month probably. I've staked out a few places to forage a few things to try and am very eager.. I can't wait for fall!!
    thanks for the reminder!

It is getting harvest season for something else here in AZ. It always comes right about the time of hunting season here. You just hope you are not the hunter that walks up on it while it is going on. Shots have been fired.
