    is it possible to make pens quickly out of things like wood i have tried but can never find enything that makes sutible ink

    feather quills work good... as for ink, sounds kinda grose but i'm guessing animal blood would probably do the trick.

    Another idea would be ash mixed with water or just use a chared stick it would be like a pencil. It depends all on how long you want what ever you write to stay on what ever you write it on.

    Try berry juice,tree bark and roots boiled down have been used as dye for centurys should work as ink .

    pokeweed berry juice (it shows pokeweed in the edible plants link on this site)

    Take a lonf hardwood stich and char one end untill it looks like charcoal and it should work well

    For ink any kind of liquid that will stay on paper will work
