Whenever I was still working, a welding shop teacher had some of the students make me a dandy tri pod for my dutch oven. All that it cost me was getting his roof unit air conditioner going for him again.
Take only what you need, and leave the rest.

Nope. Sad, huh? I've taken it with us three or four times but haven't used it yet.

Great idea, Rick, lot of versions around, some pretty flimsy and high buck, like the re-bar.
Missed this the first time around.

For those that are into camp fire cooking, my first set of "irons" was a tripod as well.

It was made from 3 rods about 1/2 dia, but had 3" loops bent into the end of each.
2 were closed loops, and one was set slightly opened, so as to hook into the other 2 to form the tripod.
Pot hanger was then hung from the lower most loop.

Nice part was that it could be set up in a 2 post and cross bar set up as well, could hang several pots and such at the same time.

The pic show this set up in the bottom left corner.

On the right is the newer set up post and bar, but post have a hook for a 1/2 square cross piece, so as to add "forks" for a spit.
Gotta find the pic of the turkey on the spit, it's actually an old "Paper photo" LOL.

Keep in mind the problem may be extremely complicated, though the "Fix" is often simple...
