Chiye - Don't ask for pics of the Beretta. The only ones he has are on the Lost posters.

That's mean, cruel and besides I still haven't found it. Looked most of the day for it. I now keep all other Beretta's locked away before they all escape.

My apologies. It is never my intent to make fun of a fellow old timer. By the way, I checked my Pocket Reference today and it told me at my age I should expect to have 22.78 years left. I threw the da** thing away.

Her is the blade I love for the bone cutter on the back and the sharpest edge I have come accross.

Ok folks, the end is near. No, not TSHTF, this thread.
Wednesday, I'll close this and total up the knives and start the poll. Any knives you don't see listed, get on it.
    Thanks

    Cool One minor point...

Remember folks, these are "fixed blade" knives, the "folder section is a whole other thread. Also "availability" will be factored in. A favorite knife that is not readily available to the general public should not be considered as a suggested knife for a "Newby".

I see we're going with a fixed blade, now about the other questions I had asked:
    Full tang?
    Carbon or Stainless steel?
Over or under 4 inch blade?

    Drum roll........

Will it be etched with Wilderness-Survival Forums? (ohh so many questions...)

Was it NIB and made of D2 steel, not the cheaper one?

And I think Sarge said a knife where everyone that wants one can buy it.
