    Default Speaking of remote controls...

Why is there a pager button on the base for my cordless phone, but there isn't one on the T.V., VCR, DVD player, cablebox, for the remote control? I mean, I don't misplace the phone... never use the stupid thing really. But the remote... that thing ends up almost everywhere. Last time it was in the couch.

It's all an evil plot by the big corporations. First they make them small, then they make them blend in. Both of these manufacturing designs are intended to make you "misplace" the remote so that you have to buy a new one. I wonder if anybody has applied to the patent office with a design like that for tv remotes??? Hmmmmmm.....

I guess one of these would help you in not losing it.

Sweeeeeeet! Real words, large enough to find, and very few symbols.......

My remote has 45 buttons - almost all are marked with symbols which have no "universal" significance.

Weren't the darn things were supposed to make life easier for us lazy people? Now, instead of taking 2 seconds to walk over to the TV, you spend 20 minutes hunting around to find the remote. And then, once you find it stuck somewhere in your couch that you never knew existed, you have to try to figure out how to use it. And then, you have to get up and get your glasses, 'cause the little symbols are sooooo small you cant see them with the naked eye. And then, after you spend 10 minutes trying to get the darn thing to do what you want it to do, you start . And then, you have to get up again and find the user manual for the remote, which is 346 pages long. And then, if you don't completely you'll eventually figure it all out in time to catch the last 3 minutes of that 1 hour program you wanted to see.

And then, people wonder why I don't watch television.

Wow!! How much does that thing weigh? oh, yeah, another oddball question. Does anyone else try to move the cursor on the computer screen with their cell phone, rather than the mouse? I was laughing at myself just a minute ago for doing that.

Nah. I just point at the cursor with my finger from across the room and it moves. Pretty soon, it'll be by thought process only.

*now where did I put my Thorazine*
