Mainstay Bars/Datrix Bars
Has anyone tried the Mainstay or Datrix Survival Food Bars?
I cracked open a pack of each around the holidays. I thought they were okay. Even though they aren't supposed to provoke thirst, I reached for a glass of milk before I swallowed. I spread some peanut butter (always in my pack) on a Mainstay and it wasn't that bad either.
For those who have indulged - what do you think of them?

Out of all the different Survival Ration Bars I've tried, the MainStay Survival Ration Bars are the least thirst provoking. I also like the hint of lemon flavor, the least offensive taste of all of them IMHO.

I have some of the Met-RxBig 100 colossal bars.410 calories, and it tells you to drink 8 oz of fluids with it.The taste is very good.Shelf life with 32 grams of protein is only 5 months.
