Depending on the winds, you could still get a lot of ash if it blows. Be safe.

Bummer is... no place to bug out to! I need a boat! I guess she burped some ash and steam on Sunday, but we didn't see it. We have to go around the point to see that volcano. I can see two others though. Iliamma and Augustine, I wonder if they will rumble if Redoubt goes? I should grab someone and go trolling around the vents for monster halibut!

Not being familiar with the area - is there a chance of flooding in populated areas due to pyroclastic flow and the sudden melt off it would cause?

As far as I know, there isn't a population on that side of the bay that would be affected. Maybe some chekako (sp?) decided that would be a great place to set up shop and get away from it all... that would suck for that guy!
Funny thing... I just asked the guy I work with how to spell chekako and he looked on our atlas and proceded to spell Chicago for me. Frickin hilarious!

I thought all that rumbling I've been feeling was from the beans?! Guess not.

I wonder if we will get any ash if it blows?

    Guess we'll see!
Everything I have posted is pure fantasy. I have not done any of the things that I have claimed to have done in my posts. I actually live in Detroit.

23:05:08 AKDT An Eruption Is Occuring Began at approximatly 22:38 AKDT. Initial height of eruption cloud is estimated at less than 20,000 ft above sea level at time of report. Guys and Gals...i am watching this thing pop from my computer here at work!! The readings on the seismometers are incredible. GOD, I hope Hopeak, Mountaintrekker, Doug1980, Klkak, NativeDude, and whomever of my packbrothers that I may have missed are ok.

Seismic readings seem to have calmed down some. Latest cloud height estimate is 50,000 ft. Mudflows possible on the Drift and Crescent Rivers. Hopefully that's all she'll do, but as it is currently darkfall, there aren't any video or still pictures of the event and possible damage areas. Hope everyone is ok.

Four different explosions since the start of the eruption. I don't think our friends are getting any sleep tonight.

Some how I don't think I would want to see Hopeak in wings, he would probably want to wear one of those robes, and that would be a scary sight. They all seem to be a common sense group, so hopefully, all will be well.

HaHa!! What an image!! Yeah, I am sure everyone is ok. We may not hear from them for awhile if they are using sattelite feed for their internet access. That ash cloud might get in the way for a bit.
