    Thanks for the reply Canid.
I'm amazed that you can make that in only 8 hours, it's a thing of beauty.

    Awesome bows.

Not sure how I missed this thread....beauitful work, I am going to try to make one out of ash as soon as I get heat in my shop. If it turns out 1/4 as good as what you do I will be happy.

i found a geat local supplier for fletching materials, and various small fur peices of many different animals, natural and dyed, in a fly-fishing shop in town. the owner is friendly, and offered to make special orders from one of his distributors, and give a bulk discount if i need it.

i'm putting carribou fur silencers on my strings now, and a short-haired soft mole fur on the arrow pass/shelf of my favorite bow.

the knife is probably going to a friend in china who is well missed back home.
Very nice work, kudos to you!

Canid, I got all these pics going up on my main blog now and will add the others you sent the other day along with a bit of your narrative. If you can sometime, please review it though to make sure I got it all correctly. Thank you so much for giving me the links.

    Love you!

Man! I have no idea what you were talking about but the bows are beautiful. Nice work.

By the way, WGS. We love you, too. Hugs right back. Anyone that could put up with Canid for that long gets lots of hugs from us. (wink)

All this talk and pics of bows, got me to making one.

Decided to use osage orange, of course. Top limb will be 28", bottom limb 28", two piece 56" bow.

    Backed with sinew, of course.

Goal is to make a two piece that is no longer than the arrows that I shoot. I will house it in a case/quiver with a dozen arrow.

    That's right, it's a back packing bow.

See what ya'll got me doing again.
