Default Wood stove for a wall tent

I may have mentioned this before...I am making plans for a wood stove using a 30lbs EMPTY propane tank and cutting/welding/modifying it with a flat cooking top, chimney ring and door with an adjustable vent.
So far i think it will be:
-horizontal...cutting off the front valve end and replacing it with a plate with a hinged door with vent and an ash drawer
-cutting off a section of the top (horizontal layed) to install a flat cooking sheet
-cutting a opening toward the back end to weld a pipe ring (to fit a small sized chimney)
-welding 4 - 1"(?) pipe sleeves (includes a threaded hole with a wing bolt) at the side to lock an adjustable leveling pipe legs into.
sheet steel would be 1/8" or better?

Was thinking about cutting a chamfered hole in the cooking flat to sit a pot directly into the fire???
