    Does anyone read this mag. Backwoods man. this is also a very good mag. Kinda like Wilderness way lots of old time, And modern knowledge. Check it out!

    not everywhere.
    many bigger chains will not carry/sell it.
    best thing to do is subscribe.

    I only read it every other month.
    1. If it's in your kit and you don't know how to use it....It's useless.
    2. If you can't reach your kit when you need it....Its useless.

    As you get older and more....forgetful, you can read each issue twice. Be almost like having a monthly subscription.

    Oh God yes. That one is, by far, my favorite. Lots of good stuff in it. I have an issue where they show you how to take one of those Wal-Mart Ontario "Old Hickory" butcher knives and make a good Nessmuk blade out of it.
    Even shows you how to temper it!

    I try to get by my local bookstore and pick one up every chance I get.

    Great publication.

    Thanks, RWB i had not heard of Backwoodsmen before. I followed Crashs link and just ordered their best of books. Which got me to thinking if there was a mag called Backwardsmen i would probably have a free lifetime subscription

    it is the best mag. around for learning and making things you can use in the woods and at home .
    If i don't get some whiskey soon i'm going to die!!!!!! didn't put eough dirt down saw it right off...

    Backwoodsman and Backwoods Home are my two must-buy magazines. I'm hoping for subscriptions for Christmas so I don't have to drive an hour to a bookstore to buy them each time.

    you have excellent taste runs with, it is also amongst my must read mags, i like charlie he puts out a good book, it is number 2 on m y list behind wilderness way

    Easily my Favorite magazine. I read and re-read most issues. use em like a reference library! Definitely worth every penny.
