Default Just to see if I could...

Well while in Dayton with the wife at her parents I went to police agency that was giving a test for police chief, on a whim and not thinking that I would get anywhere. I got a call two weeks ago and I am the number one pick so far, my test score was 98% and it along with my resume was taken before the hiring board and is now in front of the comittee (whatever that is) and I will be told what is happening soon is the status.
Go figure, I walked in wearing cargo pants and a ranger polo, amist a group of colonels, majors, and lieutenants, and others of high rank from other agency's some retired and some not, in their flashy uniforms with awards on their chests like a military officer and scored the highest and have an interview coming up. They said thet are looking for a younger Chief who will be around for a while.
Wonders never cease to amaze me, never took a police chief exam before and tried it on a whim and now I'm looking at the job, doing my homework on the area, and learning the crime stats.
Maybe I'll get the job, its a smaller department in nice area but the pay is great. I know I could do the job but never figured anyone would want a chief in their forty's, my 8 yrs. military and 17 yrs. Law Enforcement background did wonders and are paying off, hmmm its in God's hands now.

now why would a man who represents himself with a picture of a wolf disguised as a sheep think a psych evaluation could be a problem? It's simple really, take all the stuff dr. remy used to spout off about, quote it all to them and after they've fallen asleep, mark your own evaluation. LOL

Good Luck, just read this today. You seem to have the right attitude more and even enforcement. It's all politics around there. Half of KY moved to that area for jobs and are still there.
