Learning is okay, smarting off is not. We'll consider it a lesson learned. just remember, not all of the answers you're going to get here are going to be what you might want or expect to hear. In order to learn you have to give, as well as receive information. Also, it's not wise to just "butt-in" & start posting without 1st introducing yourself. Tell everybody a little bit about yourself; where you're from, your age, (which I now understand is 13) what experience you've had. Above all, READ THE RECOMMENDED POSTS/THREADS. That way you'll learn even more quickly. Copy?

Go to the Forum titled "General Chat", you'll find a thread titled "introductions."
Click on it & post away.

Anyway, back to the original question....

The absolute best source I have found for snaring and trapping is www.buckshotscamp.com

he details almost every aspect of snaring and trapping in a realistic sense. He uses some unorthodox methods, (electrical tape; read the articles) but all his stuff works.

There is no greater solitude than that of the Tracker in the forest, unless perhaps it's that of the wolf in the wilderness.

Depends on what your trapping, pick a trap and use it depending on what fur bearing animal you set out after. Those are my suggestions in that sticky, others do it different.

Also in Canada there is a list of traps that cannot be used, they have to be a humane trap. Then list is on http://www.fur.ca/index-e/index.asp . Hope this will help.
